Recensione | Love on the brain di Ali Hazelwood (ENG)

 Ciao a tutti booklovers, oggi parleremo di "Love on the brain" di Ali Hazelwood, che come ben sapete non mi ha fatto impazzire con The Love Hypothesis. Sarà riuscita a farmi cambiare idea?

But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas... devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing.

But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there's only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

RECENSIONE:

Sì. Finalmente. Anche io ho capito come funzionano i romanzi di Ali Hazelwood. Lo so che è praticamente una copia di TLH. Lo so che Levi è Adam, e che Bee è la stessa goffa, impacciata Olive. Ma in realtà questo romanzo mi è piaciuto di più del primo!

In realtà la storia è la stessa. Due scienziati nemici si incontrano, si innamorano e avanti così. Peccato che sta volta non ci sono i prestavolto; non ci sono fanfiction di mezzo, ed è talmente nerd questo romanzo che l'ho divorato in un attimo e mi ha fatto ridere come non mai.

Ali Hazelwood, se cambiasse storie, sarebbe un'ottima scrittrice di rom-com. Manca ancora quel pizzico di originalità in più che farebbe distinguere TLH, da LOTB alle novelle (Loathe to Love You, in uscita in cartaceo nel 2023).

Ma è un'ottimo punto di partenza!
