RECENSIONE:
Sono passati otto anni dalla battaglia del Serpente, vista in The Queen of Nothing. Lady Nore della Corte dei Denti ha reclamato un'antica reliquia per creare mostri di neve. In cerca di vendetta. Suren, sua figlia ed erede al trono della Corte, è scappata nel mondo mortale, dove vive nei boschi. Tuttavia, viene trovata da Bogdana, la strega della tempesta, e salvata da niente di meno che il Principe Oak, nipote di Cardan ed erede al trono di Elfhame. I due erano promessi come marito e moglie da bambini. Lei lo odia.
I due viaggeranno insieme verso nord, in una missione Suren vorrebbe certamente evitare per via degli orrori subiti in passato.
Ma riuscirà a fidarsi di Oak? Lo stesso ragazzo che conosceva e del quale ora non può fidarsi?

Questo libro, ve lo dirò fuori dai denti, non è esattamente ciò che mi aspettavo, ma va bene così.
Prima di tutto, no, non vediamo Cardan e Jude. Secondo, Oak non è più il cucciolo puccioso che ricordavamo. Ora è in stile Cardan, per intenderci. Suren è carina come protagonista, visto che leggiamo sempre dal suo PoV, ma non è indimenticabile come Jude .Oak forse è meglio di Cardan, che ho rivalutato in peggio, visto che era un bulletto e che ne faceva di cotte e crude.
Scherzone, Oak è come Cardan. Baaasta com sti bulli!
Lo stile della Black è sempre coinvolgente, ma manca quel pizzico di magia che ho trovato in The Cruel Prince. Sempre meglio di The Queen of Nothing comunque (non ci vuole tanto comunque).
