Classes are totally interesting if you manage to live through them. And that Gemini star sign I mentioned? It now determines my elemental magic and affects my destiny, so learning astrology is essential if I’m going to beat down my classmates – which is actively encouraged by the way.

My biggest problem is the drool worthy Dragon shifter who has his eyes on my throne. He and his three psycho friends are determined to make my time here hell.

All I’ve got to do is survive. But fate might have other ideas.

Dammit, why couldn’t I have gotten a letter to Hogwarts?

***This is a dark, bully romance – don’t go expecting a sweet school for magic with friends around every corner. Fae fight for everything they own and Zodiac Academy is a cutthroat school for students aged 18+ where only the strongest prevail. There’s no Dumbledore here to save anyone’s ass and Lionel Acrux will give Voldemort a run for his money in the evil dictator category. RECENSIONE:

Chiariamo una cosa. Non è una Hogwarts per adulti. Assolutamente.

 Questo è il primo bully romance che abbia mai letto, e devo dire di essere rimasta alquanto delusa. Tory e Darcy Vega sono due gemelle diciottenni, nate sotto il segno dei Gemelli (avevate dubbi?),che se la cavano come possono. Una sera, in un locale notturno, una di loro incontra Orion, che si scopre essere un professore della Zodiac Academy, l'accademia più prestigiosa nella dimensione parallela di Solaria (Winx, siete voi?). Le due sono in realtà Roxanya e Gwendalina Vega, le eredi al trono di Solaria, ritenute perdute per anni. 

Alla fine, per riscattare la propria eredità (visto che sono povere) ingente, le due vanno a Solaria per studiare all'Accademia.

Il worldbuilding è l'unica cosa interessante del libro: la Zodiac è divisa in quattro case (Ignis, Terra, Aer e Aqua) ognuna guidata da un capitano, gli stessi eredi delle famiglie che controllano Solaria, le più potenti. Inutile a dirlo, sono bellissimi e perfidi al massimo. Più perfidi che tutto. Mi hanno disgustata. I loro scherzi sono stupidi e pericolosi, tanto a che un certo punto Tory viene quasi annegata. Uccisa, mentre a Darcy vengono tagliati i lunghi capelli.

Sono disgustata dal messaggio che viene mandato. Alla fine si innamoreranno di due di loro, proprio i ragazzi che le bullizzavano. Io sono schifata. Ah, e senza contare l'esagono amoroso che si prospetta, tra cui pure il professor Orion. Io sono incredula.

Alla fine Tory e Darcy non mi sono dispiaciute, sono solo delle povere ragazze in balia di qualcosa di più grande, mentre ho disprezzato i quattro eredi, che sarebbero Darius (Ignis), Caleb (Terra), Seth (Aer) e Max (Aqua). Altri personaggi che ho odiato sono Orion, che si ciba di una studentessa in quanto vampiro e la preside Nova. Gli unici che si salvano sono Diego, Sofia e Geraldine, gli amici delle ragazze, che mi sembrano gli unici sani di mente in quel libro
