Ciao a tutti booklovers, oggi recensiamo un libro che mi ha fatto piangere come una fontana. Sto parlando di You've Reached Sam, di Dustin Thao.

RECENSIONE:
Questo libro mi ha fatto piangere come non mai. Non piangevo così tanto dai tempi di "La Principessa" di Cassandra Clare.
Julie è una studentessa che si innamora di Sam, un suo compagno nel corso di inglese (la scuola americana è diversa dalla nostra) e inizia una relazione con lui, tragicamente interrotta quando una notte Sam fa un incidente e muore.
Julie si chiude nel suo silenzio; non va al funerale, butta via le cose che le ricordano Sam e tenta di dimenticarlo. Tranne un giorno, in cui, disperata e vogliosa di sentire la voce di Sam, lo chiama.
Lui risponde.
I due sono sempre più innamorati, ma la chance data a Sam è temporanea, perché lui non riuscirà mai ad andare avanti, senza che Julie dia la sua benedizione.
Ma Julie la darà?
Questo libro, nella sua mini-lunghezza (320 pagine circa) è straziante. Sentire di nuovo la voce di Sam è stato uno shock per Julie, e anche per me.
Caspita, ragazzi, fa piangere. Fidatevi. Il libro è diviso in due parti, o meglio, si rimbalza dal presente ai ricordi di Julie e Sam insieme, e questo è ancora più straziante che mai.
Leggerò assolutamente altri libri di Dustin Thao, ma per piacere, Dustin, meno lacrime la prossima volta.
